Fixed-Base Operations (FBOs) and ground-based aeronautical service providers play a critical role in the aviation industry by providing essential services and support to aircraft owners, operators, and passengers. A fixed-base operator (FBO) is an organization granted the right by an airport to operate at the airport and provide aeronautical services such as fueling, hangaring, tie-down, and parking. Ground based aviation services range from aircraft repair and maintenance facilities to sale and installation of avionics, and aircraft inspections.

As an FBO or repair facility it is essential to have comprehensive liability insurance specifically tailored to the unique risks associated with your operations. Aviation liability insurance offers protection against potential liabilities, ensuring that you can focus on delivering exceptional services while minimizing financial risks.

Coverage offered by us for aviation related exposures:

  1. Premises Liability: This coverage protects you against claims for bodily injury or property damage that occur on your premises. It includes incidents involving visitors, customers, employees, or other individuals who may interact with your facilities.

  2. Hangarkeepers Liability: If you provide hangar rental services, or work on customers' aircraft, hangarkeepers liability coverage protects you against claims for damages to aircraft stored in your hangar facilities. It covers losses that occur due to fire, theft, vandalism, natural disasters, or other covered perils.

  3. Product Liability: If you offer aviation products and services such as fueling, avionic sales & installation, or maintenance, product liability coverage safeguards you against claims arising from defective products or services that cause bodily injury or property damage.

  4. Aviation Professional Liability: Failure to perform professional services as expected in the aviation industry could result in stiff financial damages. This coverage protects you against any errors and omissions during the course of your aviation services.

  5. Third-Party Liability: Aviation liability insurance covers claims made by individuals or entities not directly involved with your operations. This may include damages caused by aircraft fueling operations, negligence during ground handling, or incidents related to the use of equipment or vehicles.

  6. Pollution Liability: Aviation services providers that store aviation fuel in underground storage tanks are required to meet certain state and federal regulatory and financial responsibility regulations. Pollution liability insurance provides coverage for third-party bodily injury and property damage from pollution conditions emanating from airport underground and aboveground storage tanks. This type of policy also covers site cleanup and remediation.
